SUMMARY:Band of Brothers Summit
DESCRIPTION:Ever feel like you’re capable of more but something’s holding you back? This annual summit brings together positive male community leaders\, role models and businessmen to empower and develop strong mentorship ties with male youth and their fathers/father figures. Interactive workshops and engagement opportunities will be facilitated in alignment with this year’s “I ASCEND” theme which aims to support young men to break through mental blocks and discover what they are truly good at. The event will help participants identify their strengths\, set goals\, and learn practice skills that will make a difference in school\, at home\, and in for their future. \nBand of Brothers is OYC Miami’s immersive\, and signature male program. Band of Brothers is a year- long gender specific initiative created to provide a strong supportive environment for young males to learn\, grow and express themselves. The framework is designed to cultivate leadership\, critical thinking\, conflict resolution and character development skills in an effort to unleash the unlimited potential of boys in our community. \nThe culmination of the year long program is the Band of Brothers Summit; which brings together positive male community leaders\, role models and businessmen to empower and develop strong mentorship ties for our male youth.
