NEAT Stuff is OYC Miami’s community closet initiative designed to help families access clothing and essentials while supporting the work we do for youth, adults, and families across our community.

OYC Miami was honored to be selected by @bankofamerica for a volunteering team building activity.
As part of a team building initiative, participants assembled career readiness kits for our students, equipping them with essential tools to support their professional journeys. Each kit was thoughtfully prepared with items to help youth step confidently into interviews, internships, and new opportunities, along with encouraging words and notes of inspiration.
Bank of America has long been a valued partner of OYC Miami, consistently supporting efforts that prepare young people for college, careers, and life beyond the classroom.
We are also grateful to our Board Member Shawn Alexander of Bank of America, who understands firsthand the impact of our work and continues to help strengthen connections that benefit the youth and families we serve.

OYC Miami x City of Miami Police came together for a Heroes and Hearts crafting activity in recognition of Heart Awareness Month. ❤️
Through our Health and Wellness Pillar, we understand that well being goes beyond physical health. It includes strong relationships, positive connections, and a sense of safety within our community. Activities like this create space for youth to engage with the City of Miami Police in a meaningful way, building trust and mutual respect.
When young people connect with the heroes who serve our city, it strengthens both heart health awareness and the health of our community.

Local students from neighboring schools visited OYC Miami for an engaging field trip centered on health and wellness.
During their visit, they explored the @onmedcarestation , learned how telehealth supports access to care, and discussed health safety, heart health, and the importance of building healthy habits early. In recognition of American Heart Month, students gained valuable insight into how daily choices impact long term cardiovascular wellness.

🗣️ Youth voices were front and center at OYC Miami during @closeup_dc A Day of Deliberative Dialogue.
Students engaged in meaningful, solution focused conversations, workshops, alongside an inspiring panel of leaders including Miami’s first female @mayoreileenhiggins, former Congressman Kendrick Meek, former Congresswoman @roslehtinen, Thomas Spulak, and Julia Richardson. Each shared personal experiences and powerful insights on leadership, service, and the importance of civic duty.
Through thoughtful discussion and respectful exchange, our youth explored real world issues and learned that informed participation is not just a right, it is a responsibility.
At OYC Miami, inspiring civic engagement means creating spaces where young people understand that their voice carries weight and their involvement helps shape the future.

Ready to earn, learn, and grow this summer? OYC Miami is now accepting applications for our Summer Internship Program. Earn $15 an hour, gain real world experience, and build lifelong financial skills this summer.
Youth between the ages of 14 and 25 and living in the City of Miami, Overtown, Liberty City, Little Haiti, Miramar, or Hollywood are encouraged to apply. All youth must have a bank account and a government issued ID with a home address or a school photo ID.
