OYC civic engagement team participated in the Black Voters Matter campaign and canvas the community, connecting with residents at Price Choice and having meaningful conversations about the importance of voting and making every voice heard.
Meeting people where they are is an important part of civic engagement. Through conversations, information, and community outreach, we are helping residents understand the power of participation and the role each of us can play in shaping our communities.

Congratulations to our OYC athletes who brought home the championship in the @nationwide_youth_basketball League!
Our 10/11 and 16/17 teams showed up, competed hard, and finished the season as CHAMPIONS! Through sports, our youth build teamwork, discipline, confidence, and resilience while gaining opportunities for enrichment and exposure both on and off the court.
Thank you to #BoicheCompany for supporting our basketball program and helping create opportunities for our young athletes to learn, compete, and grow.
The trophies are theirs, but the lessons, friendships, and confidence built along the way are the real win. 🏆🏀

At OYC, career readiness is not just about preparing for what comes next. It is about creating opportunities that can change the trajectory of a family.
After first coming to OYC to receive services and support for herself and her family, one former participant found a new pathway through OYC’s Economic Sustainability and Career Readiness programs. Today, she is part of the OYC team, using the skills and opportunities she gained to build her career and continue moving forward.

Big news for OYC!🚨🚨
OYC is honored to be selected as a recipient of an NBA Foundation Grant.
The @nbafoundation invests in organizations that expand career pathways and economic opportunities for young people. This grant will support OYC’s Summer Youth Internship Program and Career Readiness Programs, providing youth with real world work experience, professional development, workforce skills, and opportunities that prepare them for future success.

🌺🎒 Aloha to Summer. Hello to a Bright New School Year!
OYC celebrated the end of an incredible summer with our Summer Bookbag Distribution, sending students into the new school year ready to learn and succeed.
With more than 700 new bookbags prepared for students with school supplies, our students got into the theme and limboed their way to their backpacks. They then posed for photos at our tropical photo booth, and enjoyed an afternoon filled with music, fun, and plenty of aloha spirit.
The Summer Bookbag Distribution was hosted by @raynest_official with other sponsors including @7sundayheroes @univmiami @lennarhomes who also provided packing support, in addition to other sponsors , @browardschoolsofficial , @empire_and_co , @miamifoundation , @kidneyfl and @bankunited.official .
Also, a special thank you to our @target volunteers for helping pack backpacks and distribute them to our students, making the day even more memorable.
