🎓💼 Connections made. Opportunities explored. Futures in motion.
OYC Miami’s College & Career Fair brought students and community members together with colleges, universities, employers, training programs, and organizations to explore the many pathways available for their future.
For our OYC C.A.R.E.S. students, experiences like this are an important part of preparing for what comes next across our three pathways: College | Career and Technical | Military. Through direct exposure and meaningful connections, students had the opportunity to ask questions, explore options, and learn about the resources available to help them take their next steps.
The experience also connected participants with OYC Miami Human Resources, Post High programming, and Health and Wellness resources, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the whole person as they pursue their educational, career, and personal goals.
A special thank you to our sponsors and partners who helped make this event possible: NBA Foundation, Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation, United Way Miami, Overtown Children & Youth Coalition, and the Robert and Jane Toll Foundation.

OYC Miami and Atlantis University officially joined forces through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking an exciting new chapter in our shared commitment to education and community impact.
Through this partnership, @atlantisuniversity will provide scholarships for students to attend the university and offer classes that expand access to education and skill development. These opportunities will help OYC students and families explore new pathways, pursue their goals, and prepare for successful futures.
The celebration also included an AI workshop for adults, offering participants an opportunity to explore emerging technology and new possibilities.
Together, we are bridging gaps, expanding access, and creating pathways to brighter futures.

This program is designed to provide parents and caregivers with a supportive space to share experiences, strengthen their parenting skills, build meaningful connections, and learn alongside others who understand their journey. Through group discussions and peer support, participants gained valuable tools to help nurture stronger relationships within their families.

Every neighborhood deserves a clear path to care. 💙
We are excited to share that the @healthsfl is investing $225,000 over three years to help OYC Miami become an established hub for community health access!
For more than 20 years, under the leadership of CEO Tina Brown, OYC Miami has served Overtown, Little Haiti, and Liberty City, supporting 5,500 individuals annually. This investment will help us expand access to essential health services through our on-site OnMed CareStation and dedicated Community Health Navigators, addressing critical needs in the communities we serve.
In partnership with the University of Miami Global Health Institute, this initiative is projected to provide blood pressure and diabetes screenings to 900 individuals, increase health knowledge and awareness by 75%, and connect 60% of participants to ongoing primary care.
Health and Wellness is one of our five pillars, and this investment strengthens our commitment to ensuring that the individuals and families we serve have access to the resources they need to thrive.

At OYC, enrichment and exposure are essential parts of our programming, giving students opportunities to discover their interests, develop their talents, and explore new possibilities beyond the classroom. Through our @wethebestfoundation Music Lab, powered by @playingforchangefoundation with classes taught by @guitarsoverguns OYC is dedicated to helping our kids discover their passion.
Through the generosity of the Song of Kellen Foundation, 14 OYC students received instruments of their own, including electric guitars with amplifiers, keyboards, horns, and clarinets. To be considered for this special opportunity, students wrote essays sharing what music means to them and the impact it has had on their lives.
OYC Founder Alonzo Mourning was there to witness the excitement firsthand as students received their instruments and took another step in their musical journeys. 🎹🎺🎸
This is OYC programming in action: creating access, expanding exposure, nurturing talent, and opening doors for our students.
