Dehemiah Maynard has demonstrated excellence, determination, and resilience throughout her academic journey. 🎓
Graduating with honors and accepted into several colleges for her academic achievements, Dehemiah has officially committed to joining the Army as she begins the next chapter of her future career.

After years of hard work and determination, Jemel has officially committed to Florida Memorial University on a football scholarship where he will continue both his academic and athletic career.
As he prepares for this next chapter, we are proud to celebrate all he has accomplished and excited to watch him continue thriving at the next level. 💙

For the past 11 years, @miamifoundation has hosted The State of Black Philanthropy, creating a powerful space for celebration, reflection, and action. 💙
This gathering continues to highlight the intentional work being done to build a thriving future for Black communities, while honoring the leadership, investment, and generosity that help shape a stronger and more equitable Greater Miami.
This year’s event served as a meaningful reminder of what can happen when community, collaboration, and purpose come together. The evening also recognized changemakers whose leadership, service, and commitment continue to make a lasting difference throughout our community.
We are grateful to stand alongside organizations and leaders dedicated to creating opportunities and strengthening the future of Greater Miami. 💙

OYC Miami was proud to host @miamifoundation Quarter 2 Scholarship Convening, bringing together local nonprofits for a day centered around collaboration, opportunity, and impact. 💙
Organizations from across the community came together to learn more about the work happening at OYC Miami while engaging in meaningful conversations around scholarships, college access, and strategies to ensure youth and families are more informed about the opportunities available to them.
The convening also included a campus tour, giving attendees a firsthand look at our programs, our mission, and the wraparound approach we take to supporting youth and families through our pillars of impact.
Moments like this remind us of the power of partnership and collective work in creating stronger pathways toward educational and long-term success for the communities we serve. 💙

Ranked in the top 2% of her graduating class at Miami Edison Senior High School, Alana graduates with honors after balancing JROTC, flag football, OYC Miami, and a part time position at Lotus House. After graduation, she will officially begin her next chapter by joining the Army.
For more than 10 years, Alana has been a part of the OYC Miami family, growing into a confident and driven young woman committed to giving back and mentoring future generations of OYC students.

Since joining OYC Miami in 2022, Uriah Eduard has continued to blossom into a confident and determined young woman. 💙
While balancing school and a part time job, Uriah remained committed to her personal growth and future goals. This fall, she will attend Miami Dade College where she plans to pursue nursing.

Marcel Jones has continued to lead by example through service, mentorship, and dedication to his community.
As an active participant in both OYC Miami and AmeriCorps, Marcel has consistently poured into younger students by mentoring and assisting with basketball coaching throughout the season.
This fall, he will attend Robert Morgan Educational Center where he plans to pursue his HVAC certification and continue building his future in the skilled trades.

The Class of 2026 has completed their high school journey and is stepping boldly into a future filled with purpose, leadership, and endless possibilities. 💙
Christopher Petit-Homme is proof of what dedication, leadership, and purpose can accomplish. Graduating with honors from William H. Turner Technical Arts High School, Christopher has excelled academically while actively participating in HOSA and serving as a Teacher Aide mentoring younger students.
In addition to earning his high school diploma, Christopher also earned his Associate of Arts degree from Miami Dade College and secured more than $300,000 in scholarships. He will continue his academic journey this fall at the University of Miami.
“My experience with OYC Miami has been life changing. Overtown Youth Center is more than a program, it’s a family that supports and uplifts the next generation.”
Christopher’s commitment to service, mentorship, and community continues to inspire those around him. We cannot wait to see all he accomplishes next. 💙
