A heartfelt thank you to DJ Khaled and Nicole Tuck, Mayor Francis Xavier Suarez, Commissioner Keon Hardemon, Dr. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall - as Miami-Dade County Public Schools Board Member, Rohan Marley, -as well as Mark Caesar from the Caesar-Iglesias Foundation, and our founders Alonzo Mourning and Tracy Wilson Mourning for celebrating this milestone with us and standing in support of our mission to empower youth through music and opportunity.

A house of champions! 🏀🏆OYC Boys Basketball wrapped up an incredible spring season with a statement finish!
Competing in the Nationwide League, our 8/9U and 14/15U squads earned the ultimate bragging rights—both bringing home the championship trophy. Our 8/9U team went UNDEFEATED, showing what it means to dominate from start to finish. 💪🥇
These championships signify the boys’ unmistakable talent, grit, and determination—and the powerful leadership of Coach Juwan, Coach Eric, and Coach Mike B. 👏 👏👏
We’re proud of our boys and their coaches for raising the bar. The grind, the growth, and the glory—it all lives right here.

OYC Miami was honored to receive a commissioned piece of art titled Stronger Together by renowned artist Alonzo Adams, a gift from David Storch. This powerful painting reflects the shared history between the Black and Jewish communities and the strength found in unity.
Board member Elise Scheck Bonwitt, Esq. led an inspiring activity with our youth, highlighting the importance of understanding, connection, and solidarity between these two communities.

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins— @commisheileen — visited OYC Miami to learn more about the comprehensive services we provide to youth, families, and adults across our community.
During her visit, she learned about our Pillars of Impact, and explored our @onmedcarestation and had a tele-health visit. This health kiosk is an innovative, free resource offering accessible care right inside our center.

OYC Miami is beyond proud of our 2025 graduating class, and we can’t wait to see the journeys they embark on next! We celebrated these incredible seniors at our annual Senior Banquet at the stunning @rustypelicanmiami, surrounded by love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
From inspiring messages by OYC founder Alonzo Mourning and Honey Shine founder Tracy Wilson Mourning, to the tradition of gifting each senior an OYC letterman jacket and a copy of “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”, the night was a celebration of legacy, growth, and the bright future ahead.
