OYC Miami proudly unveiled the We The Best Foundation Music Lab powered by Playing for Change—an exciting new creative space designed to inspire, engage, and empower youth through the transformative power of music.

This special day was made even more memorable with the presence of DJ Khaled and Nicole Tuck, Miami Mayor Francis Xavier Suarez, Commissioner Keon Hardemon, Miami-Dade County Public Schools Board Member Dr. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, Rohan Marley, Mark Caesar of the Caesar-Iglesias Foundation, and our beloved founders Alonzo Mourning and Tracy Wilson Mourning. Their presence reinforced the vital role community, creativity, and opportunity play in shaping the future of our youth.

Thanks to the incredible partnership between the We The Best Foundation and Playing for Change, the Music Lab is now a vibrant hub for artistic expression, skill-building, and innovation. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and instruments, the lab provides a safe, inspiring space for students to learn audio engineering, music production, songwriting, vocal performance, and digital media skills.

Beyond creativity, this space will help students build confidence, improve focus and discipline, and develop pathways to potential careers in the music and entertainment industries. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and access to tools they may not otherwise have, the Music Lab is not only cultivating talent—but also sparking purpose and possibility.

We look forward to the powerful stories, sounds, and successes that will emerge from this space—and we are deeply grateful to all who helped bring this vision to life. Together, we’re amplifying voices, opening doors, and making sure our youth are heard—loud and clear. 🎧💙
