OYC Miami recently hosted the Rise Up with OYC Miami Pitch Competition, a powerful evening of purpose and possibility. Seven inspiring entrepreneurs—Aaden & Addi Sweet Treats; M. Rose Designs; Historic Overtown Colored Town; The Drop; BX; Generation Nexxt Training; and Sacred Flavors—took the stage, each pitching their vision for a share of $25,000 in prizes.

The event began with opening remarks from Tina Brown and a profound message from our founder, Alonzo Mourning, who reminded everyone that investing in ideas is investing in transformation.

This competition showcases how OYC Miami brings its commitment to economic sustainability to life. By creating opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs to present their ideas, access capital, and receive mentorship, we are helping turn dreams into viable businesses—and strengthening the fabric of our community in the process.
