OYC Miami Founder and NBA Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning has hosted the 33 Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway for more than 25 years, establishing it as a longstanding community tradition that provides Thanksgiving meals to more than 400 families across South Florida each year.
The initiative was created to support families during the holiday season by supplying eligible households with a turkey and essential dry goods needed to prepare a complete Thanksgiving meal. As food and living costs continue to rise, many families rely on community support programs like this one to help supplement household needs, particularly during the holidays
