Civic engagement is more than an activity—it is a powerful expression of leadership, purpose, and community pride. At OYC Miami, our youth are taking bold steps to lead by example.

From canvassing neighborhoods with information about our OnMed Care Station and voter registration resources to engaging directly with local government officials and even traveling to Washington DC, our students are experiencing the power of participation firsthand. These experiences are not only broadening their perspectives but also reinforcing that their voices have value and their actions have impact.

By participating in the democratic process and representing their communities with passion and purpose, OYC youth are learning that leadership starts with presence. Whether it is knocking on doors, holding meaningful conversations, or taking a seat at the table, they are shaping a future rooted in empowerment and advocacy.
