OYC Miami’s AmeriCorps members recently joined forces with the Miami VA to recognize and celebrate our local veterans during AmeriCorps’ Annual Service Day. With care, gratitude, and compassion, our members assembled and distributed thoughtful care packages, spending quality time with veterans and showing appreciation for their service.

The day was filled with heartwarming moments—from lively rounds of Bingo to a special birthday celebration for veterans with September birthdays. Beyond the games and gifts, the event created space for meaningful conversations, shared stories, and new bonds with those who have given so much to our country.

This day of service served as a powerful reminder of the impact of connection, gratitude, and community. Our AmeriCorps members walked away inspired and proud to give back in a way that honors the strength and sacrifice of our heroes.
