Media & Filming Requests

OYC Miami welcomes opportunities to share the stories of the youth, families, and communities we serve. Thoughtful media coverage helps shine a light on the transformative programs taking place every day and the impact being made across our Pillars of Impact.

Because OYC Miami serves young people and families, all media, filming, photography, and interview requests must go through a formal review process to ensure the privacy, safety, and dignity of our participants remain protected.

Journalists, production teams, documentary crews, content creators, and students interested in covering OYC Miami are required to submit a Media Request Form prior to scheduling any visit, interview, or filming activity.

If you are interested in featuring OYC Miami, filming on site, or conducting interviews with staff or program participants, please complete the Media Coverage Request Form below.

This form allows our team to better understand the scope of your request and coordinate appropriate permissions.

Information collected in the form may include:

  • Organization or production company
  • Type of media request
  • Purpose and scope of coverage
  • Intended distribution platform or outlet
  • Proposed filming or interview dates
  • Individuals, programs, or locations requested
  • Equipment or crew size
  • Contact information

Important Guidelines

Please note the following before submitting a request:

  • All media visits must receive advance approval from OYC Miami
  • Filming or photographing minors requires written parental consent coordinated by OYC Miami
  • Production teams may be required to sign an OYC Filming and Media Release Agreement
  • Additional documentation or proof of insurance may be required depending on the nature of the production
  • Any published photos, video, or media captured on site must appropriately identify Overtown Youth Center (OYC Miami) as the filming location when applicable
  • Media teams may be asked to share copies of photos, video, or final published segments captured during the visit for OYC Miami’s internal and promotional use
  • Submission of a request form does not guarantee approval
