On Saturday, April 13, South Florida witnessed a full day of service and celebration as local organizations and community members rallied together for a worthy cause.
The City of Miami recently witnessed a star-studded fund-raiser event. And the bond created by the city’s premier basketball team, the Miami Heat, was visible for everyone to see. Hosted by Miami icon and 7x All-Star-turned philanthropist Alonzo Mourning and his wife Tracy Wilson Mourning, the World Red Eye described the event as a night of celebration and philanthropy. Some of the notable appearances included former Miami Heat stars like Udonis Haslem and Dwayne Wade.

“The fundraising event will commemorate two decades of service to children, families, and adults in urban communities across Miami-Dade and South Florida, in addition to celebrating the grand opening of OYC Miami’s new facility, which was completed in July 2023,” according to a press release issued to announce the event.
